Improvements & Fixes

A Dedicated Sign-Up Page for Your Newsletter
Your shop now has a standalone newsletter sign-up page at "/subscribe" (e.g. yourshop.com/subscribe) that shows only your sign-up form.

Share Landing Pages with Affiliates
Make your landing pages available for your affiliates to promote. Just enable the "Available for affiliates" option in a landing page's settings. The page then appears in your affiliates' area next to your products, each with their affiliate link attached. Any resulting purchases are automatically attributed to that affiliate.

Transaction IDs for Easier Payment Mapping
The order details and the Zapier triggers now include each payment's transaction ID, the reference from your payment provider (e.g. PayPal or Stripe). The orders export menu also offers a new payments export that lists every individual payment with its transaction ID. This makes payments easier to reconcile.

Withdrawal button (EU shops only)

As of 19 June 2026, a withdrawal button is legally required in online retail. We have already activated it automatically for all shops based in the EU, with nothing for you to set up.

Your shop footer now shows a „Withdraw from contract“ button. Customers use it to submit a withdrawal with their order number and email and receive an immediate confirmation of receipt. You are notified by email and review each withdrawal yourself as usual, no refund is triggered automatically.

The footer was slightly adjusted to fit the button, and you can control whether it is shown anytime in your legal settings.

Your privacy policy and cancellation policy must mention the new withdrawal. Re-apply our updated templates in your legal settings or extend your own texts. You'll find all steps and the ready-to-use text blocks in the help center.

Improvements & Fixes

Strike-Through Price on Order Bumps
When an order bump's price is lower than the regular price of the linked product, the regular price now appears struck through next to the bump price. Customers see the value of the offer at a glance.

Customizable Sign-Up Form for External Products
For "Direct link" products with the email opt-in enabled, the form shown before the redirect now also asks for first and last name. You can also customize the form's title and button text.

Refreshed Default Styles for New Shops
Newly created shops now start with tidier default styles: more subtle colors, better-matched fonts and buttons, and a visible login link.

Google Search Console
Under "Tracking & SEO" in the shop settings, add your Google Search Console verification code to verify your shop there and see how it performs in Google search.

Manage Email Automations More Flexibly

The trigger of an email automation can now be changed after creation, even while it's active. Add another freebie or product to an existing automation, swap it out, or switch the trigger type.

The "Recipients" tab also lets you remove individual recipients from a running automation.

Custom Text and Banner for the Checkout

Make a product's checkout page more your own. Add an extra description text and a banner image per product that show only on the checkout page.

The description text is great for extra notes, benefits, or trust-building content right before purchase. The banner image appears in its own row above the product title and replaces the small thumbnail there (recommended size: 1200 × 300 px).

You'll find the options when editing a product under "Customize the checkout page".

Improvements & Fixes

Improved Checkout
First and last name are now collected in two separate fields at checkout. The discount code field is now more visible and can be hidden per product when you don't need it. The checkout and order bumps have also been visually refreshed.

Insert Buttons in Product Text
The text editor for product descriptions now has an "Insert button" option. Add buttons with your own text and link directly into your description.

Manually Assign Sales to an Affiliate
Credit a sale to one of your affiliates afterwards from the order details, for example when a purchase wasn't tracked via the affiliate link. The commission is then created automatically within a few minutes.

Dedicated Onboarding for Affiliates
Anyone who registers through an affiliate invite link now lands directly in the affiliate area instead of the seller onboarding. If they later want to sell their own products too, a prompt in the dashboard guides them through the setup.

Booking Data in Zapier
The "New Order" and "New Paid Order" Zapier triggers now include appointment booking data: start, end, and the Zoom join link and password. This makes it easy to automate calendar invites and reminders.

Referral Commission for Affiliate Programs

Enable an optional referral commission for your affiliate program (e.g. 3%) in the affiliate settings. Affiliates who recruit other affiliates for your program then earn a small commission on their sales. It's paid from your margin and doesn't reduce the direct affiliate's commission.

Host Your Own HTML as a Landing Page

Alongside the drag-and-drop builder, landing pages can now be uploaded as raw HTML. Create the page with ChatGPT, Google Gemini or Claude and paste the code into the new HTML editor. Tentary hosts it as-is under a URL of your choice.

Retroactively Add Customers to Email Automations

Existing customers who missed an automation can now be enrolled retroactively. This is useful when the automation was created after a purchase or signup.

Credit Notes & Invoice Corrections

Automatic Credit Notes on Refunds
Every refund now automatically generates a credit note that is sent to the buyer along with the refund confirmation email. For older refunds without a credit note, one can be generated manually from the order details page.

Manual Invoice Corrections
Correct buyer or seller data on an already-issued invoice directly from the order details page. A credit note for the previous invoice and a new corrected invoice are generated automatically and can be sent to the buyer. Tax-relevant fields like country, VAT ID, tax rate, and tax note are also (optionally) editable.

Partial Refunds

Issue partial refunds for orders. Choose between a full or partial refund in the order details. Multiple partial refunds per order are supported.

Custom Invoice Numbers & Invoice Design

Make the invoices your customers receive match your brand. Head to Settings > Invoice design & numbering to configure:

Logo & Accent Color
Add your company logo and choose an accent color that appears on every invoice.

Custom Invoice Numbers
Set your own prefix and starting number so invoice numbers align with your existing accounting. Numbering increments automatically with each sale.

Order Number & Discount Code on Invoices
Invoices now display the associated order number. If a discount code was used, it is noted on the invoice as well.

Improvements & Fixes

Better Protection Against Self-Referrals
Purchases through your own affiliate link are now automatically detected and commissions will not be credited.

Meta Pixel: Purchase Event for Free Products
When a Meta Pixel is integrated, the Purchase event is now also triggered for free products.

New Onboarding & Improved Payment Configuration
New users are now guided step by step through setting up their shop. Additionally, the payment configuration has been redesigned and is now easier to navigate.

Custom Files per Order

Upload custom files within an order and share them with your customer. Ideal for personalized content, consultation results, or individual documents. Your customer will be notified by email and can download the files from their download page.

Preview Files for Products

You can now add up to three preview files to your products. Upload audio files or PDFs that your customers can listen to or view directly on the product page before buying.

Countdown & Limited-Time Offers

You can now create limited-time offers for your products. Set an offer price along with a start and end date. The regular price is automatically restored once the offer expires.

Optionally, you can enable a countdown that shows your customers how much time is left. Choose from different styles and customize colors and text to match your brand.

Custom Code Element in Landing Page Builder
The new Custom Code element lets you add your own HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code directly to your landing pages. Available for all pages with a custom domain.

New Help Menu
You can now search our help center and create support tickets directly inside Tentary, without leaving the dashboard.

Revenue figures visible to Admins & Accounting only
Team members without an Admin or Accounting role can no longer see revenue figures – not on the dashboard, in orders, reports, or products.

New Branding, Backend and improved Dashboard

Tentary receives a new branding including a new logo after five years. In the process, we have also modernized the backend and overhauled the user interface so that Tentary is ready for many new features in the coming months.

The beginning is an improved dashboard that is much more user-friendly and gives you a quick overview of your most important metrics.

Teams + White-Label

You can now add team members with different permissions and roles to a Tentary account. Depending on the role, a team member can access different areas and either just view them or also edit them.

In the shop settings, "Powered by Tentary" can be disabled for the shop, individual sales pages, and emails.

Note: Both features are aimed at sellers with larger revenues and teams and are included in the new Grow + Scale plans.
- The new activity log lets you track who made changes in the Tentary account and when.

Share Landing Pages

You can now share landing pages with other Tentary users. This way, other users can import your landing pages as templates into their own Tentary account.

To share a landing page, open a page for editing and switch to the Settings tab. You'll now find a new "Share" option. It needs to be enabled individually for each page. After that, you get a share link.
- Variant titles (when available) can be used as a placeholder in emails and on the thank-you page, and are now automatically shown on invoices as well
- The "New Order" and "New Paid Order" triggers in the Zapier integration now include a field with the product access link

- In the landing page builder, image, icon, heading, and layout elements can now be given a link. This makes the entire element clickable and forwards the user to the chosen page.

Custom Code

With this update you can embed your own code (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) into all shop pages and landing pages. This makes it possible to add custom tracking scripts and meta tags, among other things.

Go to Code for shop pages. For landing pages, custom code can be uploaded in the settings of each individual landing page.

New Payment Methods via Mollie

Tentary now also supports Apple Pay, iDEAL, and Klarna via the payment provider Mollie. If these payment methods are enabled in your Mollie account, they will automatically appear in your shop.

Landing Page Builder: New Icon Element

You can now add standalone icons to your landing pages with customizable size and color.

The button and link elements have also been expanded: matching icons can now easily be added there as well.

Introductory Price for Subscriptions

For products with a monthly price (subscriptions), an optional introductory price can now be set.

The introductory price applies only to the first payment. From the second payment onwards, the regular price is automatically charged on a recurring basis.

Landing Page Builder

You can now create your own landing pages directly in Tentary. Use the new landing page builder to showcase yourself and your brand, present new products, announce launches, share special offers, or build complete funnels.

You can either compose pages from scratch using a range of elements, or pick a ready-made template and adapt it to your needs.

Custom URLs for Products

In addition to the automatically generated product URL, you can now define your own custom URL on the product edit page.
- Images can now be embedded on the post-purchase thank-you page and in the product description of upsells & downsells
- Free products can be easily embedded on external websites using a JavaScript snippet. This is especially useful for freebies and newsletter signups.

Order Bumps for Free Products

Paid order bumps can now be displayed alongside free products. Once one or more order bumps are selected, the payment form appears automatically.
- Custom colors for the text in purchase confirmation emails
- The customer list now loads faster (especially on mobile) and is more clearly laid out.

EU Online Dispute Resolution Platform Shut Down

Only relevant for EU sellers:

On 2025-07-20 the EU Commission's online dispute resolution platform was shut down, and links in terms and imprint pages need to be removed accordingly.

Links to this page are therefore automatically filtered out and hidden from all terms and imprint pages of Tentary shops. The template texts no longer reference it either.

- The delivery status of individual emails (e.g. soft-bounces, hard-bounces) is now shown in the detail view of an email campaign
- Placeholders (e.g. buyer name) can now be used in text fields on the product page. This makes it easier to personalize course content, for example
- New separate placeholders for appointment bookings for time and date
- Additional custom field: instruction text
- Sellers can now request a copy of a purchase confirmation (the link is in the order details)
- Shop editor restructured to make editing easier
- Sellers based in the EU can now optionally show Swiss VAT on invoices issued to customers in Switzerland

Upsells and Downsells

After the purchase of a free or paid product, one or more upsells and downsells can now be presented. Customers can add these offers to their existing purchase with a single click.

For these offers as well, customers must explicitly accept the waiver of the right of withdrawal where applicable. The purchase is then concluded with a legally binding "Order with obligation to pay" button.

Upsells and downsells are configured in the "Thank-you page" section of product editing.
- Sales that include one or more order bumps can now optionally be handed over to the dunning/collections process as well
- Custom subject lines for purchase confirmations are now possible
- The label of the final order button for free products can be changed
- Added preview for custom thank-you pages

Custom Thank-You Pages and Purchase Confirmations

In the product settings, you can now choose whether buyers see the default thank-you page or a custom one after a purchase. Alternatively, buyers can be redirected to an external page. The purchase confirmation email can also be fully customized.
Predefined variables are available in both areas to personalize the text for buyers.

Where is this new setting? Right on the page where you edit a product.

New "Link-in-Bio" Theme Added

You can now choose between three themes for your shop. The new theme is based on the popular link-in-bio style. Additional design options have been added for the new theme to better personalize colors, buttons, and profile images.

Custom Taxation for Products

Some products and professions are subject to special regulations and are taxed differently. In these cases, a custom tax rate can now be set for individual products that overrides all other tax rates.

This option is located in the "Settings" section when editing a product.

Product Variants for Digital Downloads

Products of the "Digital Download" type can now be offered in multiple variants. This allows customers to purchase, for example, a standard and a premium version of a product.

Custom Fields

You can now add your own custom fields to the checkout page to collect individual information from buyers.
- Sellers now receive an email notification when a subscription is cancelled
- The online course editor has been reworked under the hood, so that large courses in particular now load and edit significantly faster
- For the "Direct link" product type, a new setting can be activated so that customers see an email form before being forwarded to the actual link. These email addresses can be reached via the built-in email marketing (provided double opt-in has been completed)

Shop-in-Shop for Affiliate Links

For products of the "Direct link" type, the "Shop-in-Shop" option can now be activated. This embeds the checkout process directly in your shop so that users are no longer redirected to the affiliate provider. This feature is only available for affiliate products offered through Tentary.

In this case, the customer always stays in your shop with your domain and your layout. If cookies are enabled, this also ensures that a purchase can be attributed to you as the affiliate partner.

Direct Links with Their Own Sales Page

For the "Direct link" product type, a product description with images can now also be added. In this case, the direct link gets its own sales page in the shop and only forwards afterwards. The purchase button can be labeled individually.

Video Streaming in 4K Ultra HD

Videos on Tentary are now streamed in up to 4K Ultra HD quality. The option is enabled automatically and applies to all newly uploaded videos.

The following resolutions are currently supported:
- SD: 480p
- HD: 1080p
- QHD: 1440p
- 4K: 2160p

If a user has a slow internet connection, they can also choose lower resolutions. Videos uploaded at a higher resolution are automatically compressed to a maximum of 4K.

Improvements to Online Courses

- The first page of a course can be renamed
- The course menu has been streamlined and moved to the left
- Course pages can now be saved as drafts
- Loom videos can be embedded
- Course pages with subpages but no own content are no longer clickable for users and act as "folders" in the course menu

Login Protection

Access to sold products can now be protected with a login. In this case, buyers have to enter a one-time code (sent to them via email) when accessing a product. This system effectively prevents link sharing.

In addition, a link can be enabled in the shop editor that is shown in the shop and allows customers to log in to see all their purchases in that shop.

E-Invoices

An e-invoice is now automatically issued for relevant sales and sent to buyers along with the existing PDF invoice.

The e-invoice is only issued in cases where it is mandatory and generally applies to sellers based in Germany.

Numerous new fonts are now available in the shop editor. You can also define separate fonts for headings and body text.

The shop editor has been completely reworked under the hood. You can now also see a live preview of your changes to shop settings and design options.

Collections Autopilot

To automatically forward claims to the dunning process and our collections service, you can now activate the collections autopilot. This saves valuable time, and you no longer need to submit claims manually.

Zapier Integration

Tentary can now be connected to over 7,000 apps via a Zapier integration. Setup takes just a few steps and lets you build extensive automations based on sales, email signups, and much more.

- Disputed payments and failed direct debits can now be moved into a dunning process. If dunning is unsuccessful, claims are automatically forwarded to our collections partner after 30 days
- AI bots are now automatically blocked from crawling Tentary shops and products for their own purposes
- For products of the "Direct link" type, a price can now be added that is shown in the shop
- Purchases via affiliate links are now attributed to the most recent click (previously: the first/oldest one)

Fully Integrated Collections

With our partner Debtist we now offer a fully integrated collections service – from the first payment reminder all the way through to legal enforcement. Debtist is an experienced provider with a high success rate and fair fees. Open claims can be handed over to Debtist directly from your Tentary account with a single click, and they automatically take care of the next steps.

Pay a Failed Installment via PayPal

An installment that could not be charged automatically from the stored payment method can now be paid by the customer via PayPal. In this case, only the next installment is paid via PayPal (subsequent installments are not automatically charged via PayPal).
- Improved support for special characters (e.g. umlauts) in email addresses

Note: by official standards, special characters are only allowed in the domain part of an email address (after the @ sign)
The CSV export of individual sales now includes the following additional data:

- Tentary fee
- VAT on the Tentary fee
- Fee tier at the time of the transaction
- Order bumps can now be free (only the main product needs to be paid)
- Improved appearance of the personal message in the purchase confirmation (line breaks are now displayed here as well)

Backups for Online Courses

A backup is now created automatically every time you save an online course. If you accidentally removed parts of your course or simply want to revert to an earlier version, you can do so with a single click.

New Payment Method: iDEAL

Customers can now pay with iDEAL (via Stripe). iDEAL is one of the most popular payment methods in the Netherlands.

For iDEAL to appear in your shop, it must first be activated here.

In the course settings you can now enable a progress bar. When this option is enabled, each buyer of your course can save their own progress and have it displayed graphically.

Gross vs. Net Prices

You can now optionally switch shop prices from gross/end prices to net prices. This makes sense if you primarily expect business customers.

- Discount codes now also work for subscription payments

Display Name

In addition to the company name, you can now enter a display name in the invoice settings.

This display name can be a brand name and is the name shown as the sender of your emails and in other messages directed at end customers.

If this field is empty, the company name continues to be shown instead. In legally relevant places, the company name is shown as before.
- Outstanding installment payments can be triggered manually again using the stored payment details
- A dunning notice referring to potential legal action can now be sent when an installment payment is missed
- Improved onboarding for new affiliate partners joining your own affiliate program
- Email notification to affiliate partners when a commission is earned in your own affiliate program
- Sales of free products can now be deleted. This frees up booked appointments and removes these purchases from all reports
- Meta Pixel can now be embedded on all shop pages, including sales tracking

SEPA Direct Debit for Installments and Subscriptions

Installment purchases and subscriptions can now be paid via SEPA direct debit. As with one-time payments, this is enabled individually per product.

Payment via SEPA direct debit can now be enabled for all products. SEPA direct debit is available to over 500 million people in 34 countries.

Installment Payments

Installment payments can now be added as a payment option to products. Payment is made via credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay and is managed directly through Tentary.

Using variables, the email address, full name, and first name of email subscribers can be inserted into emails.

This product type lets you add direct links to external pages in your shop.

Affiliate Program

You can now offer your own affiliate program with Tentary. Your partners can promote your products and earn a commission for it.

- Sellers from all EU countries can now also enter a local tax number (if they don't have a VAT ID) and have invoices generated when making a sale
- Wording for the email opt-in adjusted. Instead of an "email subscription", customers now confirm "signing up for an email newsletter". The new wording aims to avoid misunderstandings.

Note: The official European interface for verifying VAT IDs has been having intermittent issues. When that happens, a more informative error message is now shown.

Subscriptions

With Tentary you can now offer recurring payments (subscriptions)!

Subscription payments are available for every product type, and the billing interval can be configured individually. Subscription payments can currently be made via credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

We will continue to expand subscription payments in the future and will keep you posted.

Sending free products can now be tied to consent to receive emails. This is configured in the settings on the product page.

You can now combine multiple products into a product bundle and sell them together.

Apple Pay + Google Pay

We've added two new payment methods (via Stripe): Apple Pay + Google Pay
- Added support for Australian Dollar ($AUD)
- More details for undeliverable purchase confirmations in the backend. Repeated failed delivery attempts are now also shown.

Klarna + EPS

In your shop options you can now enable a general newsletter form. The form is shown on all your shop pages.

New Email Recipient Options

The recipient targeting for emails sent with the built-in marketing feature can now be defined even more precisely.

In addition, the infrastructure for sending marketing emails has been fundamentally reworked to prepare for upcoming features.
- The opt-in for email subscriptions can now be resent and cancelled manually by sellers
- New email subscription statuses "Pending" and "Cancelled" to better see which customers have subscribed and unsubscribed

Tentary now lets you create more complex and visually appealing online courses. We've almost completely reworked course creation and added new options.

What's new:

New Settings: E-Publications, Vouchers

1. Products can be individually marked as electronic publications. In many EU countries a reduced tax rate may be applied to these products.

2. Products can be declared as "voucher/ticket". This setting enables tracking of redeemed vouchers and also allows a voucher number to be automatically printed on vouchers issued as PDFs after purchase.

Previously, this setting was activated by choosing the (now-removed) "ebook/PDF" product type.

Instant Access After Payment

Buyers now get access to the purchased product immediately after payment. In parallel — as before — a purchase confirmation is sent by email.

This way, buyers always get instant access to their purchase, even if the confirmation email hasn't arrived yet or there's a typo in the entered email address.

Notifications for Delivery Issues

An email notification is now sent to sellers if a purchase confirmation could not be delivered. The notification links to the order in the Tentary account, where further details about the issue can be viewed and the problem resolved.

Reworked Analytics

Revenue and visitor analytics have been combined on the reports page for better comparability. Data on refunds and payment methods has been added, and different currencies are converted to the current account currency.

Custom Form of Address

The form of address for German-speaking customers in texts and emails can optionally be switched from informal ("du") to formal ("Sie").

Go to the corresponding setting.

Configure Right-of-Withdrawal Period

The right-of-withdrawal period can be configured individually per product. For some digital products it can make sense not to offer any right of withdrawal at all (which then has to be confirmed by the buyer at checkout in a legally compliant way). For other products, you can offer an extended period of e.g. 30 days.

The withdrawal period is configured in the product settings.

New Product Type: Newsletter

Introducing a new product type: Newsletter. When this product type is selected, the purchase confirmation shows a button to confirm the newsletter (opt-in) instead of a file download link. Irrelevant settings are hidden.

Any creator worldwide can now use Tentary as a platform for selling their digital products and services!

In the Tentary account you can now select any available country (instead of only EU countries as before) and then define individual tax settings to match your tax situation. This lets us automatically show the correct taxes for your sales in the checkout and on invoices issued to your customers.

New PayPal Integration

Our PayPal integration, which lets you offer PayPal as a payment method to your customers, has been completely reworked and improved.

PayPal can now be set up as a payment method for your sales pages with just a few clicks, without cumbersome configuration via API keys. The Tentary fee can also now be retained directly at checkout.

You can now offer free products via Tentary. The prerequisite is that the corresponding account is fully set up.

Increased Security for File Downloads

Files uploaded to our servers and offered for sale are now even better protected against unwanted forwarding.

Details: download pages now show the buyer's name and email address. In addition, the actual files are delivered via temporarily valid URLs, so the URLs can no longer be copied.

Explicit Consent to Waiver of Withdrawal Before Purchase

Buyers always agree to the terms and the right of withdrawal at checkout. In addition, going forward, they must explicitly tick a checkbox confirming that they have understood and agreed that certain digital products are excluded from the right of withdrawal.

English Localization

With this update, sales pages, invoices, and emails related to the purchase process are available in English. Depending on the language set in the browser, a default is selected automatically.

Buyers can request an invoice when purchasing a product. The invoice is generated automatically, including all required information such as VAT details.

More Individual Tax Settings

To stay true to our vision of making online selling as simple as possible, we've simplified and expanded the tax options with this update.

For example, it is now significantly easier to sell with Tentary from all 27 EU countries. Special cases such as the small business regulation are also easier to configure.

Offered products can now be assigned to new additional product categories, including software license, gaming, courses, and music.

Improved Social Media Sharing for Sales Pages

When products are shared on social media and in common apps, in most cases the first product image is now shown as a preview.

For very unusual product image formats (e.g. very narrow or very wide), no preview image is often shown on WhatsApp, for instance.

Product images are now displayed in full (no longer restricted to 16:9), and product descriptions support additional formatting options
