# Change your plan: upgrade and downgrade

> How to switch between the Tentary plans Start, Grow and Scale, and what happens to fees, team members and imported customers.

Want more features or a lower transaction fee, or do you need less? You can switch between the Start, Grow and Scale plans at any time.

## How to change your plan

1. Open your [**Settings**](https://app.tentary.com/settings) and click [**Monthly plan**](https://app.tentary.com/settings/user/subscription) in the **Account** area.
2. Click **change** next to **Current plan**.
3. Under **Change plan**, select the plan you want. Your current plan is marked **Current**.
4. Click **Upgrade** or **Downgrade** and confirm.

## Upgrade

An upgrade applies immediately. You can use the extra features right away, and the lower transaction fee of the new plan applies from now on.

For the rest of the current billing period, we only charge you the prorated difference. You see the exact amount on the button before you confirm, for example **Upgrade (€12.40 now)**.

## Downgrade

A downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until then you keep using your current plan. During that time the **Monthly plan** page shows the notice **Pending change to … at end of billing period.** Click **Cancel** next to it to take the change back.

A smaller plan also has smaller limits. Keep these in mind:

- **Imported customers:** If you have more active external customers than the smaller plan allows, you cannot downgrade yet. Tentary tells you how many you need to deactivate first. To understand the limit, see [Import customers](https://tentary.com/en/help/import-customers/).
- **Team members:** If the new plan allows fewer [team members](https://tentary.com/en/help/manage-team-members/) than you currently have, Tentary automatically deactivates the most recently invited members when the change takes effect. Their accounts are kept, and you can reactivate them later.
- **Tentary branding:** Only the Scale plan lets you remove the Tentary branding. If you move from Scale to a smaller plan, the branding is shown again.

## FAQ

### Can I change my plan while my cancellation is pending?

No. While your monthly plan is cancelled, the **change** link is hidden. Undo the cancellation first, as described in [Cancel your monthly plan](https://tentary.com/en/help/cancel-monthly-plan/).

### I am still on the old €7.99 plan. Can I switch?

Yes. On the **Monthly plan** page, click **change** and choose one of the new plans. The switch applies immediately and cannot be reverted to the old plan.
