Tentary works with every AI app that supports custom MCP servers. You connect it with your Tentary login or with an API key.

ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Codex, Claude Code and Cursor have their own guides. See [Connect AI apps to Tentary](https://tentary.com/en/help/ai-overview/#two-ways-to-connect-an-app).

## What you need

- The address of the Tentary MCP server: `https://mcp.tentary.com/mcp`. You also find it at the top of the page [**AI & API**](https://app.tentary.com/ai).
- An AI app that supports custom MCP servers. Depending on the app this is called "connector", "plugin", "integration" or "MCP server".
- You are the owner of the Tentary account, and your account is activated.

## Way 1: Sign in with Tentary

Use this way if the app offers a sign-in with OAuth.

1. In the app, add a custom MCP server with the address `https://mcp.tentary.com/mcp`.
2. Choose **OAuth** as the sign-in, if the app asks.
3. The app sends you to Tentary. Sign in with your Tentary login.
4. On the page **"Name of the app" wants to access your Tentary account**, check the permissions and click **Allow access**.

Many apps register themselves with Tentary. Then the page shows the warning **This app registered itself. Tentary cannot check its name, so only continue if you started the connection yourself.**

## Way 2: with an API key

Use this way if you can add custom headers for an MCP server in the app.

1. Create an API key on the page [**AI & API**](https://app.tentary.com/ai). See [Sign in with API key](https://tentary.com/en/help/ai-overview/#sign-in-with-api-key).
2. In the app, enter the address `https://mcp.tentary.com/mcp`.
3. Add this header and replace `YOUR_API_KEY` with your key:

   ```text
   Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
   ```

Do you want to write your own scripts instead of using an AI app? Then use the REST API. See the [API Reference](https://tentary.com/en/help/api/).

## Privacy

> **Important:** The app sends data from your account, including names and email addresses of your customers, to its AI provider. Check that this is allowed under your privacy policy.

## Disconnect

Open the page [**AI & API**](https://app.tentary.com/ai). Under **Connected apps**, click **Disconnect** next to the app, or under **API keys** click **Revoke** next to the key. The app loses access at once.
