# Finish image

`POST https://api.tentary.com/v1/images/{upload_id}/finish`

Source: https://tentary.com/de/help/api/finish-image/
Area: Produkte und Dateien
MCP tool: `finish_image`. Changes data at once.

---

The last step of [`POST /v1/images`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/upload-image/), after your PUT to the `upload_url`. Checks the image, publishes it and returns its `image_url`. Use the `image_url` for:

- `images` or `checkout_banner_url` of [`POST /v1/products`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/create-product/) and [`PATCH /v1/products/{product_id}`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/update-product/)
- `cover_image_url` of [`POST /v1/courses`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/create-course/) and [`PATCH /v1/courses/{course_id}`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/update-course/) (course banner)
- `cover_image_url` of [`POST /v1/courses/{course_id}/modules`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/create-module/) and [`PATCH /v1/modules/{module_id}`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/update-module/) (module image, 16:9, shows only with the course layout "cards")
- `img src` in HTML: email `body_html`, text blocks and landing pages

An image block in `content` needs a `file_id` from [`POST /v1/files`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/upload-file/) instead.
