# Delete

`POST https://api.tentary.com/v1/delete`

Source: https://tentary.com/de/help/api/delete-item/
Area: Löschen und Bestätigungen
MCP tool: `delete_item`. Changes nothing at once. The answer has a link that the account owner confirms in Tentary.

---

Deletes or archives one thing. What happens depends on the type:

- **`product`** is archived. Buyers cannot buy it, earlier buyers keep access, it leaves its shop categories, and bundles that contain it do not show it.
- **`course`** is archived. Buyers cannot open it until the account owner restores it in the app.
- **`module`** and **`lesson`** are deleted with everything in them. The course keeps a backup of the outline. Refused while another lesson waits for one of them.
- **`landing_page`** is deleted. Not possible for the shop home page.
- **`email_campaign`** is deleted. Drafts only.
- **`email_automation`** and **`automation_email`** are deleted. Inactive ones only.

Alternatives without confirmation:

- To switch a coupon off, use [`PATCH /v1/coupons/{coupon_id}`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/update-coupon/) with `status` `archived`.
- To only hide a landing page or a product, set its `status` to `draft`.

**After the call:** the account owner confirms at the `confirm_url` within 5 minutes. Then check the result with [`GET /v1/confirmations/{confirmation_id}`](https://tentary.com/de/help/api/get-confirmation/).
